Our multidisciplinary team of family physicians, nurses and allied health professionals provides a full spectrum family medicine service, including low-risk obstetrics (led by our Registered Midwives) and emergency care. We are regularly joined by a number visiting specialists who provide our communities with access to expertise closer to home.  

​The Northern Haida Gwaii Hospital & Health Centre and Xaayda Gwaay Ngaaysdll Naay (Haida Gwaii Hospital & Health Centre) jointly serve a population of about 4500. Our facilities are situated on the ancestral territory of the Haida Nation, on beautiful Xaayda Gwaay (Haida Gwaii), and are administered by the Northern Health Authority. 
Visiting Specialist Clinics are subsidized by the Northern and Isolation Travel Assistance Outreach Program (NITAOP). If you are a specialist interested in coming to Haida Gwaii please follow this LINK for more information.
